India Skipper Rohit Sharma Tests Positive for Covid-19

Guwahati: Indian cricket team skipper Rohit Sharma tested positive for Covid-19 in a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) performed on Saturday.

The captain is currently in isolation in the team hotel following the infection. The BCCI’s official Twitter account verified the situation following the conclusion of Day 3 of the ongoing exhibition match between India and Leicestershire.

The remainder of his teammates are taking part in the four-day exhibition game versus the neighbourhood county team.

Informing the news on twitter, the BCCI wrote, “Team India Captain Mr Rohit Sharma has tested positive for Covid-19 following a Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) conducted on Saturday. He is currently in isolation at the team hotel and is under the care of the BCCI Medical Team.”
