Assam: TMC’s General Secretary Chitta Ranjan Pal Resigns

The general secretary of the TMC’s state unit in Assam, Chitta Ranjan Pal submitted his resignation from the post stating his discontent with the direction Ripun Bora is taking the party.
This occurs after the party made adjustments to establish itself in the state, electing Bora as president after he resigned from Congress.
It may be noted that similar to Bora, Pal left the Congress in April of this year to join the TMC in Assam.
Pal is thought to have been very close to Bora and his resignation has caused a commotion within the party.
Apart from Bora, Chitta Ranjan Pal also forwarded his resignation to TMC’s Rajya Sabha MP Sushmita Dev.
