Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi sent his best wishes to all the doctors on National Doctors’ Day and noted that they are essential to saving lives and improving the health of the globe.

National Doctors’ Day is observed on July 1 in India. It is celebrated in memory of eminent physician and former chief minister of West Bengal Bidhan Chandra Roy, whose birthday and passing anniversary fall on July 1.
Dr. Bidhan Chandra Roy received the Bharat Ratna award in 1961. National Doctors Day is especially important ss doctors battle the Covid epidemic day and night this year. This is the third doctor’s day amid the pandemic.
Once again, this year is devoted to all those medical workers.
The theme of National Doctors Day 2022 is ‘Family Doctors on the Front Line’.
