Guwahati: One person was killed in a road accident in Golaghat District of Assam on Monday.
The incident took place at Bogorijuri on the national highway 37 in Kohora.
According to reports, the incident occurred as the man was using a long stick to cut away tree branches and electrical cables. He was making room for a vehicle carrying an enormous and towering thing.
The man was clearing the obstructions when he was struck by an unidentifiable car travelling in the opposite way.
Following the incident, the route was blocked for at least an hour which interfered with passengers’ ability to communicate.
Meanwhile, the Kohora Police arrived at the spot and cleared the spot for vehicles to pass.
