Guwahati: As many as nine persons were killed and 30 others injured in a road mishap at Bagmati Province in Nepal on Tuesday morning.
The incident took place at Lubhughat in Khandadevi Rural Municipality-1 of Ramechhap.
According to reports, the bus was carrying 40 people when the tragedy occurred.
Reportedly, the victims fell about 40 meters from the road.
In the incident, nine people died on the spot while 30 injured were immediately rushed to Dhulikhel Hospital and some in Kathmandu.
“The bus was en route to Kathmandu. 9 people had died on the spot while we rescued 30 and sent them to Dhulikhel Hospital as well as some in Kathmandu,” Deputy Superintendent of Police, Raj Kumar Thing told ANI.
The cause of the accident is yet to be ascertained.
