Guwahati: Two air guns has been recovered from Alichiga in Lakhimpur district of Assam on Saturday.
The air guns were recovered by the local youths of the area.
It may be mentioned that seven air guns were found in the Subansiri River, which flows through Alichiga in Lakhimpur on Friday.
According to reports, few fishermen from the nearby village saw the air guns floating in the river.
Soon after being informed about the arms recovery, the police arrived at the spot.
The police suspected that the firearms have come from the neighbouring state of Arunachal Pradesh.
Further investigation is underway into the case.
