Naga Violence Reported At Sarupathar Along Assam-Nagaland Border

Guwahati: Aggression from the Naga side was reported in Sarupathar along the state border between Assam and Nagaland on Saturday.

The incident took place at Sarupathar in Assam’s Golaghat district.

According to reports, Nagas in the area are ignoring the magistrate’s order.

Reportedly, Nagas have once more started building gas stations at Chainpur hamlet in Sarupathar near the state border.

Construction work in the area was restarted after a pause of roughly a year.

The magistrate requested the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) conduct an investigation as a result of media allegations.

The CRPF has been ordered to shut any illegal construction activities in the region.

It should be mentioned that the Nagas had brought in building supplies, established electrical connectivity, and begun work on building a gas station nearby.
