Guwahati: Amid Eid Al-Adha celebration in the state, a cement carrying truck rammed into a two-wheeler leaving three dead on the spot in Karbi Anglong district of Assam on Sunday.
The incident took place at Birla in Diphu of the district.
According to reports, the collision occurred between a motorcycle and a truck.
Reportedly, three people including a woman and a child were killed on the spot.
Two people are reportedly still underneath the truck while rescue efforts are underway.
Meanwhile, the identity of the deceased is yet to be ascertained and it is suspected that they belong to the same family.
Moreover, the truck that caused the collision had the registration numbers AS 01 DD 9654, while the motorcycle that was involved in the accident had registration numbers NL 07 R 2744.
