Assam: 9 Health Workers Suspended in Dima Hasao

Guwahati: Nine health care workers from the Khepre Primary Health Centre (PHC) in Haflong have been suspended by the Joint Director of Health Services of Assam’s Dima Hasao district.

The health personnel have been suspended due to irregularities and neglect in the performance of their duties. The nine employees have been suspended until the outcome of the departmental investigation.

One MBBS doctor, two pharmacists, four nurses, and two grade IV employees of the health centre are among the suspended individuals.

The medical facilities in the district’s rural parts have gotten worse since, according to sources, the doctors assigned to Dima Hasao choose to work solely in Haflong.

The PHC used to provide for the medical need of residents in villages close to Khepre.
