Jharkhand: PM Modi Inuagurates Deoghar Airport

Guwahati: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday inaugurated the 657-acre Deoghar airport and also laid foundation stones for various development initiatives and inaugurated projects , including an airport, with a total value of over Rs 16,800 crore.

He flagged off a Kolkata –bound indigo flight from the Deoghar airport to mark the inauguration of Jharkhand’s airport after Ranchi.

PM Modi also inaugurated the in-patient department and operation theatre services at AIIMS, Deoghar.

He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stones for roads,energy and other infrastructure projects.

Modi said , ‘Deoghar airport was the hope for the lives of people and they have been dreamt for long time which is fulfilled now.The projects worth Rs 16,800 crores and will imoprove the connectivity , tourism and trade prospects of the state”.

Modi also said that these projects will also help the adjoining states to grow.

Meanwhile, Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren, who was also present at the event, said that the projects were a matter of pride for the people as the airport was visioned in 2010 has been fulfilled by PM Modi.
