Sushant Singh Rajput case: Rhea Chakraborty name in NCB’s chargesheet For Supplying Drugs
Guwahati: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has accused Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty of procuring drugs for her late boyfriend and actor Sushant Singh Rajput.
According to a charge sheet filed by NCB, Chakraborty is one of 34 people charged in the high-profile case of actor Sushant Singh Rajput’s death in 2020.
Actor Chakraborty was accused of funding the purchase of a tiny amount of marijuana. The anti-drug organisation has also named her brother Showik Chakraborty.
NCB said that she received and delivered marijuana to Sushant Singh Rajput and made payments for it at his instance.
Meanwhile, Chakraborty might face a 10-year prison sentence if proven guilty in the case.
However, she has referred to the recent accusations as a “witch-hunt.”
It may be noted that Chakraborty was arrested in the case in Septembere 2020. The Bombay High Court subsequently granted her bail nearly a month after her arrest.
