Guwahati: As many as five people were injured after an e-rickshaw they were travelling in turned turtle in Darrang district of Assam.
The incident occurred in Dalgaon town of the district.
Meanwhile, all of the five injured were rushed to a nearby hospital for better treatment.
Moreover, the identities of the victims are yet to be ascertained.
It may be mentioned that on Wednesday, at least two persons were killed and six others sustained injuries in a road accident in Assam’s Dhemaji district.
The incident was reported at Silasuti close to Silapathar under the district.
Reportedly, the accident occurred when the vehicle carrying eight passengers lost control and collided with the railing of a damaged bridge.
The vehicle was reportedly heading towards Itanagar from Yingkiong.
Following the incident, police officials reached the spot and rushed the injured to a nearby hospital for better treatment.
