Guwahati: A cadre of the Eastern Naga National Government (ENNG) has been arrested by security forces in a joint operation from Tinsukia district of Assam.
The troopers of Indian Army and Assam police arrested the cadre.
Based on secret information, a team of police and Army launched an operation in New Balijan at Sadiya and apprehended the cadre.
The apprehended cadre has been identified as 25-year-old Rangashor Chakma, a resident of Changlang district in Arunachal Pradesh.
According to reports, Chakma was involved in extortion activities in Sadiya.
Reportedly, one 7.65 mm pistol, one magazine and four live rounds were also seized from his possession.
It may be mentioned that the ENNG cadre is currently being interrogated at the Sadia police station.
