Guwahati: The man who was allegedly giving death threat to actors Katrina Kaif and Vicky Kaushal through social media has been arrested by the Mumbai Police.
The accused has been identified as Manvinder Singh, a resident of Lucknow in Uttar Pradesh.
According to reports, Manvinder Singh is said to be a struggling actor and a big fan of Katrina Kaif.
Reportedly, the accused harassed the actress on social media nonstop over the past few months because he wanted to marry her.
He previously shared manipulated footage and images of himself with the actress on Instagram.
The inquiry into the matter was launched soon after Vicky Kaushal Filed a complaint on the same against an unidentified person at Santacruz Police Station.
According to Vicky Kaushal, the accused has been sending threatening messages on Instagram.
He added that the man had also been pursuing and threatening Katrina Kaif.
Vicky and Katrina, who were married on December 9 in Rajasthan, have not yet made any public comments regarding the situation.
Meanwhile, Manvinder Singh has been booked for offences punishable under Indian Penal Code Sections 506-II (criminal intimidation) and 354-D (stalking).
