Guwahati: A massive fire broke out in a residential apartment located on VIP road of Guwahati on Friday.
According to reports, the incident took place on the sixth floor of Block-2 of Palacia Park Apartments in the six-mile area of the city.
Meanwhile, several fire tenders reached the spot and fire personal took more than an hour to control the situation.
The apartment in which the fire broke out belonged to Pradeep Borgohain. It has been gutted entirely with damages believed to be worth in lakhs.
However, no casualties have been reported so far as the incident took place when no one was in the house.
The fire is thought to have broken out due to an electrical short circuit.
They managed to bring the fire under control and prevented it from spreading.
