Guwahati: The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of Manipur accomplished a huge fire on Monday.
As per reports, the fire broke out at the CID office at around 2 am.
Reportedly, after the incident took place as many as eight fire tenders reached the spot immediately.
Moreover, the cause of the incident is suspected due to a short circuit but the exact reason is yet to be known.
Following the incident, safety precaution was taken which are in close proximity to the CID building.
These offices include the Imphal west police station, Manipur Rifles, Imphal secretariat, BSNL office.
It is also learned that many vital documents and other office materials at the CID office were completely destroyed in the inferno.
The fire tenders however were able to successfully bring the situation under control.
However, the fire tenders reached the spot in time and controlled the situation properly.
