Guwahati: India has recorded 19,406 new Covid-19 cases in the last 24hours.
According to data published on Saturday by the Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, as a result, the nation’s Covid-19 cases increased to 4,41,26,994 while the number of active cases decreased to 1,34,793.
Reportedly, the death toll has increased to 5,26,649 as a result of the 49 new fatalities. The total number of recoveries increased to 4,34,65,552, and the case fatality rate was 1.19 %.
As per reports, out of the 49 new fatalities, five each were reported from Maharashtra and West Bengal, three from Chhattisgarh, two each from Delhi, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Rajasthan and Tripura, and one each from Haryana, Kerala, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Odisha, Punjab, Sikkim, Uttarakhand and Uttar Pradesh.
Moreover, the nationwide recovery rate was reported at 98.50 percent, while the active cases reached to 0.31 percent of all infections. The number of active cases has dropped by 571 over the last 24 hours.
However, the weekly positivity rate was 4.63 percent, and the daily positivity rate was 4.96 percent, according to the health ministry.
