Assam: CRPF takes out ‘Har Ghar Tiranga Yatra’ to spread awareness
Guwahati: As part of the continuing “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign, members of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and the police conducted a “Tiranga Yatra” in Nagaon district of Assam in order to raise awareness.
As many as 150 military members took part in the rally.
The “Har Ghar Tiranga” campaign aims to commemorate India’s 75th anniversary of independence. Shiv Shankar Upadhyay, commandant of the CRPF, stated, “I invite everyone to turn the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign into a popular movement by raising or flying the national flag at their homes between August 13 and 15.
“This yatra is begun to rejoice and remember 75 years of Independence,” local police who took part in the gathering remarked.
A campaign called “Har Ghar Tiranga” is being run by Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to get people to bring the Tiranga home and hoist it to commemorate India’s 75th anniversary of independence.
The Government of India has launched an effort called Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav to commemorate and celebrate 75 years of independence as well as the illustrious past of India’s people, culture, and accomplishments.
The goal of the programme is to motivate Indians worldwide to raise the flag at their residences. Instead of just keeping it formal or institutional, the program’s goal is to make the bond with the national flag more personal.
The purpose of the campaign is to instil a sense of patriotism in the public and raise knowledge of the tricolour.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had also advised his citizens to change their profile pictures on social media to tricolours in order to support the initiative.
