Shoaib Akhtar asks fans for prayers ahead of surgery
Guwahati: Former Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Akhtar has undergone surgery on both of his knees on Sunday in Melbourne of Australia.
Shoaib posted a video from his hospital bed following his surgery. The former cricketer pleaded for his supporters to remember him in their prayers for a quick recovery in the video. He also mentioned in the video that he was in a great deal of agony and needs the support of his followers and well-wishers to get better quickly.
On the other hand, he had stated in a video that he had made before his operation that he was having his sixth surgery and hoped it would be his last. He also encouraged his followers to pray for him because he anticipated being in pain for several weeks following the procedure.
Akhtar continued by saying that despite his retirement from international cricket, he has been in pain for the past 11 years.
Alhamdolillah, surgery went well. It will take some time to recover. Need your prayers.
A special thanks to @13kamilkhan as well, he’s a true friend who is looking after me here in Melbourne. pic.twitter.com/jCuXV7Qqxv— Shoaib Akhtar (@shoaib100mph) August 6, 2022
