Guwahati: In what comes as good news, the Gauhati High Court has announced that the pay for house guards in Assam will increase.
Instead of the previous compensation of Rs 9,000, home guards now make Rs 23,000 each month.
This order has been issued by the Gauhati High Court under the directives of the Supreme Court of India.
The high court has given the state 30 days to carry out the decision.
The order has already been implemented in 23 states of the country.
