ADGP Harmeet Singh: Will Not Spare Forces Trying to Disrupt I-Day Celebrations

Guwahati: Additional Director General of Assam Police (ADGP) Harmeet Singh stated that the people of the state will not spare any forces attempting to disrupt the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, which commemorates India’s 75th year of independence.

Harmeet Singh took stock of the preparations for the 75th Independence Day celebrations in Khanapara of Guwahati on Friday.

While addressing to media, Harmeet wished everyone in the state a happy Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav. He stated that the police had covered all aspects and that people should come out with open hearts and minds to celebrate India’s independence.

The ADGP also stated that the pilot project for the Integrated Traffic Management System (ITMS) is complete and will be inaugurated on August 15.

He said, “The project will be launched in stages. The GS Road area of Guwahati will be covered in the first phase. The project will then be inaugurated in various locations.”
