Big Bull Of Dalal Street Rakesh Jhunjhunwala Passes Away
Guwahati: Rakesh Jhunjhunwala, a billionaire investor and the current Big Bull of Dalal Street breathed his last at the age of 62 in a Mumbai hospital on Sunday.
Jhunjhunwala was sent to the Breach Candy Hospital as soon as possible at around 6.45 am after experiencing a heart arrest, but the hospital’s staff immediately proclaimed him dead.
According to Forbes, the seasoned trader and investor had a net worth of about $5.5 billion. Additionally, he worked to promote Akasa Air, a brand-new airline that had just started flying.
According to reports, Jhunjhunwala had a number of health problems and was last spotted in the media using a wheelchair for his airline’s debut.
He had earned the moniker “India’s Warren Buffett” as a bullish trader in the nation’s stock markets.
Meanwhile, condoling his death, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that the Big Bull “leaves behind an indelible contribution to the financial world.”
PM Modi tweeted, “Rakesh Jhunjhunwala was indomitable. Full of life, witty and insightful, he leaves behind an indelible contribution to the financial world. He was also very passionate about India’s progress. His passing away is saddening. My condolences to his family and admirers. Om Shanti.”
