Guwahati: The Government Railway Police (GRP) seized a huge amount of cash and apprehended one person in connection with it at the Guwahati Railway Station in Assam.
According to reports, the accused was travelling from Manipur and was headed to Delhi on a Rajdhani Express.
Police said that they recovered Rs 25 lakhs in cash from the person. They have not released the name of the detained person yet.
Officials were advised that the person who was detained could not produce any papers to support the big amount of cash that he was carrying.
The authorities are currently questioning him as they are trying to determine where the money came from.
