Assam CM Inaugurates 15th BJP Office In Kamrup

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma opened the 15th BJP office in Palashbari of Kamrup district on Sunday.

Several Congress members joined the BJP during the programme, which was attended by the chief minister and other officials.

Inaugurating the BJP office in Palashbari, CM Sarma tweeted, “Glad to inaugurate BJP South Kamrup Dist HQ building at Batarhat. This 15th party HQ building of @BJP4Assam will enable us to serve the public even better and further strengthen @BJP4India that has become the world’s largest democratic political party in just four decades.”

CM Sarma also inaugurated the Model Anganwadi Centre at Kaitasidhi (A) under the Chayani Barduar ICDS Project at Palashbari near Mirza on the outskirts of Guwahati, earlier today.

From there, CM virtually inaugurated another 1000 centres across the state, accompanied by Assam cabinet minister Chandra Mohan Patowary, state BJP president Bhabesh Kalita, MP Queen Oja, Palasbari MLA Hemanga Thakuriya, and others.

“In the coming days, 2000 more anganwadi centres will be inaugurated,” CM Sarma said, adding that “by 2026, we aim to inaugurate 15,000 anganwadi centres across Assam.”

“In Palashbari, 16 new anganwadi centres have been opened,” he said.

He also stated that good samaritans will now be permitted to adopt such centres and care for the people who live there.
