Guwahati: A body of a pregnant women was found in Assam’s Hajo district, who was allegedly murdered by her husband after she failed to pay the required dowry.
According to reports, the accused husband was identified as Safikul Hanque, who allegedly murdered his wife to death and faked a suicide to get away with it.
Reportedly, domestic violence was also used against the deceased woman by her in-laws as she did not pay the dowry they demanded.
Moreover, the woman’s family has called for the in-law’s family which was to be executed.
An investigation was stated after a FIR was also filed in the case at the nearby police station.
