20 Burned Alive In Massive Oil Tanker-Passenger Bus Collision in Pakistan

Guwahati: A severe traffic accident that occurred on Tuesday in Pakistan’s Punjab province resulted in up to 20 persons being burned alive and numerous others being injured.

A passenger bus and an oil tanker reportedly crashed on a highway in Multan, which is around 350 kilometres from Lahore.

This was the second significant accident in three days, according to rescue personnel, and it was apparently caused by over speeding.

Twenty individuals lost their lives in an accident between an oil tanker and a bus travelling from Lahore to Karachi, according to a representative of Rescue 1122. Following the collision, the tanker and bus caught fire, and the passengers were killed by the flames.

Additionally, six people were transported with burn injuries to Multan’s Nishtar Hospital. According to the official, they are in a critical state.

“The majority of the deceased passengers’ bodies were fully and irreparably burned. After a DNA test, these bodies will be given to the family, he continued.

The official further said that after the accident, both vehicles were completely consumed by flames, making it difficult for rescue crews to work.

Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi, the chief minister of Punjab, has expressed his sorrow over the event and ordered health officials to better care for the injured.

He also instructed the administration to assist the identifying of the deceased and working with their families.

It should be mentioned that a passenger bus and a loaded freight truck crashed on Saturday in Punjab, Pakistan, killing at least 13 people.
