Guwahati: A man has been arrested by the city police in connection with the North Guwahati’s Murder Case on Wednesday.
The man has been identified as Dipu Kumar.
According to police official, Kumar allegedly aided in the prime accused in the murder adding that the latter is still at large.
When questioned by the police, Kumar admitted helping the main suspect identified as PK Anand, commit the murder of Ashmina Khatun.
Khatun was recovered dead on Monday night in her rented room at Nayanpara area in Bhetamukh of North Guwahati.
Police said that the accused strangled the victim to death.
Meanwhile, a manhunt has been launched to nab PK Anand, the main suspect in the case.
Further investigation is underway.
