Guwahati: Assam Police arrested a youth for allegedly raping a girl student at Lanka in Assam’s Hojai district.
The accused has been identified as Afjalur Rahman, as revealed by the victim girl.
According to the victim, she committed the terrible crime after being seduced by Afjalur and transported to a pharmacy called “Arogya” in Lanka Tiniali.
However, the victim girl however managed to escape from the pharmacy.
The girl informed the Udali Police Outpost about the entire incident.
The police conducted search operations at Lanka Tiniali in response to the girl’s accusation, and they also detained a pharmacy employee there.
Later, the police detained the accused Afjalur from Nilbagan. He is currently being interrogated by the police.
