Ranoj Pegu: 5 New Sainik Schools to Be Set Up in Assam

Guwahati: Assam Education Minister Ranoj Pegu annouched on Wednesday that five Sainik Schools will be established in the state under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model.

Pegu informed that the procedure had already begun.

While addressing to media, the Edu Minister added, “There are 33 Sainik Schools all over India. The PPP model for Sainik Schools is being planned by the Union Ministry of Defense. We have chosen to establish five Sainik Schools in our state as a result of this.”

He continued, “Up to this point, land has been allocated for the construction of the schools, and other formalities are in progress.

The five locations where the schools will be built are: Dhemaji, Kokrajhar, Golaghat, and Silchar.

Meanwhile, speaking about the allotment of scooties to HS passed students, he said that every year the award is given with new reformed rules.

Ranoj Pegu also requested that government schools put images of the instructors who worked there outside of the classrooms.

Prior to this campaign, the images were exclusively on display in staff rooms and not in the hallways outside of the classes.
