Amit Shah: Keep Special Vigilance In Border States

Guwahati: Union Home Minister Amit Shah urged the Directors General of Police (DGPs) of bordering states to maintain extra security as the country’s border regions demographic changes on Thursday.

Since Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister in 2014, Shah said, he did not only give a thrust to the internal security of the country but instead strengthened the mechanism to face unprecedented challenges.

Shah ordered the DGPs to gather data on all technical and strategic initiatives in their states while he was speaking at the National Security Strategies (NSS) Conference in 2022.

According to Shah, since Narendra Modi was prime minister in 2014, he has reinforced the country’s defences against both traditional threats and new ones.

In addition, he emphasised that governments should give national security issues high importance since, in his opinion, they are a war for the nation’s and the youth’s future, in which case everyone must unite and triumph at all costs.

Shah said, “The national government has dealt with terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir, a number of extremist groups in the northeast and Left-Wing Extremism with more success.”
