Guwahati: In a shocking incident, two individuals attacked one another and suffered injuries in the Sonitpur district of Assam on Sunday.
The both accused has been identified as Saleh Ahmed and Suraj Ali.
According to reports, Suraj was suddenly shot by Saleh Ahmed in the Balipara area and as a kind of self-defense Suraj attacked Saleh with sharp objects.
The people near the area gathered when they heard gunfire and made an effort to stop them and later, they both were handed to the Chariduar Police by the villagers.
As per reports, the injured pair was taken by the police to Tezpur Medical College for further treatments.
However, the reason behind the attack has not yet been determined.
Meanwhile, Saleh Ahmed was also in possession of four rounds of live ammunition, four 0.22 revolvers, and a dagger and duster vehicle, which were all taken by the police.
However, a case has been registered in relation to the occurrence under the offences of 154/2022, 120(B)/448/307/IPC, and 25(1A)/27 Arms Act.
Additionally, more research has been started in relation to it.
