Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman to Embark on 3-Day Visit to Nagaland

Guwahati: Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday is due to fly into Nagaland on a three-day visit to take part in the state’s various programmes.

The finance minister will attend a number of events, including the inaugural conference on corporate social responsibility and investment for the state government.

Sitharaman will officially open the CSR and investment event at the Nagaland Baptist Church Council Convention Centre at 4 pm with state Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio in attendance.

The union minister will also have a private meeting at Chumoukedima with the Nagaland business community before departing for Delhi on Wednesday.

All state-wide civil society organisations that have met the requirements to be incorporated under corporation law and have been carrying out CSR initiatives for at least two to three years are welcome to attend the colloquium on corporate social responsibility and investment.

According to government sources, these organisations will offer investors around 400 projects, the most of which will be in the health and education sectors.
