Renowned Mumbai Hotel Receives Bomb Threat Call, Rs 5 crore demanded to Defuse

Guwahati: A renowned hotel in Mumbai received a bomb threat call on Tuesday amid fears of another terror attack similar to the one that occurred on 26 November.

The hotel was informed by an unnamed caller that there were four locations inside the hotel grounds where bombs had been concealed, according to Mumbai police.

In addition, the individual asked for Rs 5 crores to disarm the devices, police said.

Meanwhile, a case was registered under the section of 336, 507 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) at Sahar Police Station.

The name of the hotel is yet to be ascertained.

Authorities got into a fight earlier last week when it was alleged that the Mumbai Police Traffic Control received a threat message warning of another terror attack in the state that was similar to 26/11.

According to reports, the threat texts also made reference to the horrific 26/11 Mumbai tragedy and threatened to bring back those memories in the city’s next terror attack by ten well-armed Pakistani fanatics.

Meanwhile, on August 18, a suspicious boat containing heavy weapons was discovered off a beach in Maharashtra’s Raigad district.

Security organisations discovered AK-47 guns, magazines, and live ammo contained in an advanced military-grade package.
