Guwahati: Two cadres belonging to proscribed United Liberation Front of Asom-Independent (ULFA-I) have surrendered to Assam Rifles in Arunachal Pradesh.
The two surrendered cadres have been identified as Suruj Maran and Margherita.
According to reports, the two cadres also laid down their arms in front of the troops.
Six ULFA-I cadres reportedly escaped from the banned outfit’s camp and returned to society, however, four of them are reportedly in the care of the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN).
