Guwahati: Author Pradyumna Kumar Gogoi will receive the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar 2022 for his contribution to Assamese literature.
This was announced by Sahitya Akademi on Wednesday.
Gogoi will be given the honour for his literary contributions to the novel “Choki Aru Anyanya Galpa.”
He had previously received the Munin Barkotoki Literary Award 2021.
Alangbar Muchahary will also get the Yuva Puraskar for his creative contributions in the Bodo language in the book “Gang Fujanay Mase Dau (Short Stories).”
Diganta Oja will receive the Bal Sahitya Puraskar in the meantime for his piece “Dangor Manuhor Xadhu.”
It should be noted that the Sahitya Akademi Youth Award is presented annually by the federal government of India to honour young people from all around the country who have excelled in the field of literature.
Earlier, Abhijit Bora from Assam was awarded the Sahitya Akademi Yuva Puraskar for Assamese literature.
