Guwahati: The sleuths of the Vigilance and Anti-Corruption cell of Assam police have arrested a Senior Assistant of DTO Office from Dhemaji district of Asssam while accepting bribe.
The arrestee has been identified as Gobin Bordoloi.
According to Reports, Bordoloi is a Senior Assistant of DTO Office in Dhemaji.
Reportedly, Bordoloi was arrested red-handed while accepting bribe for renewal of trade license of E-Rickshaw shop.
“Continued offensive against corruption. Sri Gobin Bordoloi,Senior Assistant of DTO Office Dhemaji has been trapped and arrested red handed today by team of @DIR_VAC_ASSAM while accepting demanded money for renewal of trade license of E-Rickshaw shop @assampolice @CMOfficeAssam,” ADGP (Law & Order) GP Singh tweeted.
The anti-corruption unit and the Assam Police are keeping a close eye on the state to stop all forms of corruption. Numerous state government representatives have been exposed while receiving bribes.
Additionally, the police have established a helpline at 1800-345-3767 where residents can report instances of bribery.
