Guwahati: A fake currency racket was busted at Urup Kangthak village and Keirao village area in Manipur.
Two people were detained in relation to it. Authorities also found a significant quantity of narcotics in addition to bundles of counterfeit money.
Police reported that they had found 3,790 suspected World is Yours (WY) narcotics, 60 grammes of suspected Heroin, 26 bundles, 89 numbers of 500-dollar bills, and 101 numbers of 500-dollar bills that had not been cut into sheets.
Further investigation is on.
