Nine Exotic Wildlife Animals Rescued In Mizoram, 2 Arrested
Guwahati: As many as nine exotic wildlife animals were rescued in Vairengte in Kolasib district along the Mizoram-Assam border by the Mizoram police.
According to reports, two peoples were apprehended in connection to it.
Additionally, they have been identified as John Lalramnghaka (39), and his accomplice Lalremruata (20). Both of them are residents of Vairengte.
Reportedly, the state police launched a rescue operation at the Vairengte police check gate in which the nine animals were found as the species were smuggled in a vehicle.
Moreover, the species that were rescued include two Capybara and seven grey monkeys.
An investigation in underway to nab further linkages.
