Guwahati: IndiGo Airlines got a bomb threat call for the Chennai to Dubai flight 6E-65 on Saturday.
The evacuation and search of the entire aircraft added almost 6 hours to the journey, which was carrying about 170 passengers.
The control room got an anonymous call at 6.15 am, and the Airport Police Station and Bomb Detection and Disposal Squad (BDDS) immediately went into action.
However, no explosives were discovered on the aircraft, and it was later determined that the call was a fake. Subsequently, the flight that was scheduled to depart at 7:20 am was rescheduled to depart at 12 noon, said officials.
