Guwahati: In a horrifying incident, a woman was allegedly attacked with acid by her husband in Darrang district of Assam.
The incident was reported from Ramnagar in Kharupetia area of the district.
The accused husband has been identified as Amar Dhar.
According to reports, Dhar carried out the heinous crime due to a family conflict.
Reportedly, the victim suffered serious burn injuries after being attacked.
Following the incident, the woman was immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for better treatment.
Later, the accused husband was apprehended by local police.
Meanwhile, a case has also been registered against him.
