Guwahati: In a tragic incident, a boat carrying 55 people capsized in the Ganga river in Danapur of Bihar on Sunday
The incident reportedly occurred close to the Shahpur police station area.
At least 10 persons have been reported missing in connection with the incident, officials informed.
They further said that a search operation had been launched to find them.
Soon after the boat sank, onlookers gathered by the riverbanks to take a look.
According to reports, all persons on board was residents from Daudpur in Patna.
The tragedy took place when the workers were returning home from their works.
People flocked to the area as soon as the news got out.
Soon after, a search operation was launched with rescue crews and trained divers looking for the victims.
