Guwahati: The Guwahati-North Guwahati ferry service has been suspended from Wednesday due to the Brahmaputra River’s rising water level.
According to reports, Guwahati’s three ghats are all under water, and the ferry service would be suspended till the ghats are restored.
Commuters are in a difficult situation because North Guwahati residents only have one way to travel to Guwahati due to the ferry service’s suspension.
The Inland Waterways administration advised them to choose the ropeway service until the ferry service resumed.
