Guwahati: A hit-and-run accident took place in Guwahati that resulted in one death, on the night between Tuesday and Wednesday.
According to reports, the incident took place in Machkhowa of Guwahati. Onlookers claimed that a four-wheeler hit the individual and then sped away from the scene.
The victim’s health remained critical after the incident. He was promptly taken to the Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) by the Bharalu Traffic Police.
However, the medical staff informed them that he passed away from his wounds there.
Police have nonetheless reported an instance of rash and careless driving; however they have not yet located the offenders.
Officials were also advised that the deceased’s identification had not yet been confirmed.
