Guwahati: India reported 6,395 new cases of Covid-19 in the past 24 hours , bringing the total number of active cases in the nation down to 50,342.
According to Ministry of Family Welfare, new cases were detected from 3,25,602 tests carried out in the past 24 hours, bringing the total to 88.83 crores.
The total number of deaths caused by COVID-19 in India has now reached 5,28,090.
In addition, 6,614 Covid-19 recoveries in India were noted in the previous day, bringing the total number of recoveries to 4,39,00,204.
Notably, the percentage of active cases is currently 0.11 percent, and the recovery rate is 98.7 percent. The daily positivity rate is at 1.96 per cent and the weekly positivity rate is 1.88 per cent.
With 36,31,977 doses provided in the past 24 hours as part of the statewide vaccination effort, the nation has now received 214.27 crore doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
