Assam: Fake Currency Rackets Busted In Two Separate Ops in Nagaon, 4 Arrested
Guwahati: Assam police in two separate raids busted counterfeit cash rings in the Nagaon and Hojai district of Assam.
According to reports, the police in Nagaon started an operation in the Kachua region and confiscated one FICN-printing machine, 103 FICN with a Rs. 500 currency, 6 FICN with a Rs. 500 denomination, and one bundle of A4-sized paper.
Four persons were arrested in connection to it.
The arrestees identified as Jalal Uddin (35) hailing from Hatikhuti, Kachua, R. Vanlalruati (42), and Zoramchhani (40), both from Ramhlum, Vengthar II, Aizawl of Mizoram.
In addition, three mobile phone handsets and one motorcycle were taken from their custody by the police.
In a separate incident, a suspect was arrested along with counterfeit money in the Hojai district’s Doboka Mikirati area.
Reportedly, Abdul Jalil has been named as the person who was arrested. He was arrested after a police operation that was started using top-secret information.
During the search, phoney currency notes and one machine used to make false currency notes were found in his hands.
