3 Assam Educationists To Be Honoured
Guwahati: The inaugural Rivers Education Foundation (REF) Educator Awards, 2022, will honour three distinguished educators from Assam for their innovative and creative contributions to the teaching profession.
The three awardees are Dr. Ranjana Choudhury, an educator and mathematician, senior instructor Ditty Ahmed, and training consultant Vikramaditya Chaudhury.
Dr. Ranjana Choudhury the retired founder and head of the mathematics department at Handique Girls’ College. She has devoted her life to encourage students in rural and urban institutions to pursue mathematics.
Senior teacher Ditty Ahmed, who works at the Maria Montessori House of Children, is renowned for using innovative teaching strategies with young children.
Vikranaditya Chaudhury, on the other hand, is a senior training consultant who has developed and implemented programmes that assisted in shifting attitudes and had a good influence on behaviour.
The event will take place at Gymkhana Club in Dispur Guwahati on September 11 (Sunday). Mr. The chief guest of the programme is Shantikam Hazarika, a former director of the Assam Institute of Management (AIM).
The REF established the awards to recognise the commitment of devoted educators who are innovative and inventive in their instruction.
The REF is a Guwahati based non-governmental organisation (NGO) that was founded in 2013 to offer affordable education to everyone. In addition to the Youth Literary Awards, a new programme called the Educator Awards honours young people’s creative expression.
According to a formal news release, the REF Educator Awards will be presented annually to honour innovation in education.
