Guwahati: Pan Bazar Police has summoned a Victor Das’s student in for questioning on Sunday.
The student has been identified as Amlanjyoti Dutta.
Amlanjyoti allegedly claimed through the media that a few intermediaries demanded a quantity of money in the amount of Rs. 7 lakhs in the name of distributing employment from the recently held Assam Direct Recruitment Examination.
Victor Das was previously detained for allegedly circulating untrue information on the selection for the Grade III and IV positions in the Direct Recruitment examination, which was held on August 21 and 28 throughout Assam.
He asserted that he gave the police all the evidence, including call recordings.
Director General of Police (DGP) Bhaskarjyoti Mahanta claimed that Victor Das was unable to offer reliable information and had erroneously interpreted the circumstances.
