Guwahati: 7 Arrested For Offering Jobs For Cash From Borbari
Guwahati: In a huge success, seven brokers were allegedly arrested by the Guwahati police for promising cash in exchange for jobs, on Monday.
According to reports, yesterday’s raids in the city’s Borbari area by a police team from the Dispur police station resulted in the capture of the brokers.
According to officials, the brokers had created a list of positions in the water resources division of the Assam government.
Then, according to authorities, they would offer the positions to persons looking for work in exchange for substantial quantities of money.
The brokers’ real names are not immediately known. They are being questioned at the Dispur police station right now.
Three blood brokers were detained at the Lakhimpur Medical College and Hospital in North Lakhimpur of Assam and last month.
The three brokers are accused of participating in the sale of blood for cash. The brokers reportedly used to charge Rs 1400 for each unit of blood.
In conjunction with a FIR filed by the administration of the medical college, the brokers were detained by the Lakhimpur Police.
The three arrested brokers have been identified as Manoj Sahu, Bijay Sarkar and Ajit Das.
