Guwahati: A police constable of Changsari police station has been arrested by Assan Police in Kamrup district of Assam on Tuesday.
The accused has been identified as Babul Ali, a resident of Mandakata.
According to reports, Ali was apprehended for allegedly being involved in cattle syndicate.
Ali has been charged with violating Indian Penal Code Sections (IPC) 379/441/13/11.
Notably, Ali ran for the State Legislative Assembly in 2011 from the Kamalpur constituency as an independent candidate.
The police have not yet provided any additional information regarding the arrest due to ongoing investigations.
It should be noted that during the past few months, Assam Police has been successful in apprehending the suspect and saving cow heads from all over the state.
