78 Sacks Of Burmese Supari Seized In Assam’s Lanka, 4 Held

Guwahati: A mini truck carrying 78 sacks of smuggled Burmese supari has been seized by Assam Police at Lanka in Hojai district of Assam on Tuesday.

According to reports, the sacks of the Burmese supari were being smuggled from Hailakandi to Doboka when it was intercepted by police.

The truck was intercepted near Bamungaon near Udali.

Four accused have been arrested in connection to the seizure.

The arrestees identified as Nazrul Islam, Narul Haque, Abdul Salam and Nurul Haque.

Meanwhile, a case under relevant sections has been registered against the four arrested persons.
